Patricia J. Grant MA, CCC-SLP, COM

CENTRAL COAST SPEECH PATHOLOGY & OROFACIAL MYOLOGY
A member of the IAOM since 1985, Patricia has served as Chairman of the Board of Examiners (1986-1999) and President (1999-2001). She continues to serve as an examiner on the Board of Examiners. Patricia received her MA degree in Communication Disorders and Speech Science from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1982 and her BA degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1980. She received her COM® in 1985. Patricia has co-chaired several IAOM conventions ( Montreal, Hawaii) as well as offered presentations. She published, “Tongue, Lip, and Jaw Differentiation in Orofacial Myology” in the IJOM in 2001. Patricia has practiced in Colorado, the US Virgin Islands, and currently has a practice in San Luis Obispo county, California specializing in orofacial myofunctional therapy and speech pathology with motor based speech disorders including articulation, apraxia of speech, fluency disorders, and voice disorders. She is the only Certified Orofacial Myologist north of Point Conception and south of the San Francisco Bay region of California. She is an active member of ASHA, IAOM, and the Central Coast Speech Pathology Alliance.
