About Darcey McClam, RDH, OMT

Darcey is an Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist and Dental Hygienist located outside of Raleigh, NC in the Fuquay Varina/Holly Springs area. She was born and raised in North Carolina and has practiced as a dental hygienist for 15+ years. Her professional desire is to be a positive influence on her patients and their overall oral health.
Darcey discovered Myofunctional therapy several years ago while attending a continuing education seminar and since then has been on a mission to gain as much knowledge and “know how” in this cutting-edge field. Her desire is to help people with the common yet abnormal habits she has observed and discussed with her patients for many years but with no real resolution. Darcey now believes Myofunctional Therapy is the missing link to providing comprehensive dental care. She is committed to educating and helping patients on their journey to achieve optimal oral health and function as well as improved breathing and sleep patterns. She believes oral health and function is a key factor to achieving overall wellness.
Darcey has spent countless hours continuing her education in order to be able to help patients on their way to sleeping and breathing easier. She has completed the Myomentor program- an advanced Myofunctional therapy course, is a certified myobrace educator, myomunchee preferred provider, and experienced myofunctional therapist.
She is the Founder, Owner and practicing Myofunctional Therapist at McClam Family Myo, LLC, where her mission is to make therapy as obtainable and achievable as possible for patients of all ages 3+. She offers in person and virtual options to make therapy convenient for each persons’ learning and lifestyle preferences as well as a complimentary 15 min phone consult to see if OMT is a good fit for you or your loved one.
When not practicing, she enjoys spending time with her family –traveling and exploring the outdoors. Her hobbies include camping, kayaking, hiking, and off road atv riding.
