I have great respect for the miracle that is uniquely Human, speech. That we are uniquely able to move our larynx, throat, cheeks, oral cavity, tongue and lips to affect a change in someone else is so amazing. I have enjoyed spending my life working out these mysteries.

I gently guide each client forward, starting with where they are. I provide a safe place where each child wants to communicate. They are not forced to. Parents have a prominent role. They do not need to watch every session especially during rapport building but they must be prepared to be a speech-language facilitator for their child–you are already the expert on your child so why wouldn’t you have a large role?
