What is Sleep Disordered Breathing
Sleep-related breathing disorders (SDB) is the abnormal and difficult respiration during sleep, ranging from chronic snoring to sleep apnoea.
What is Snoring
Snoring is the vibration of the uvula, soft palate and pharynx in the airway during sleep. During sleep muscle tone decreases. The sound occurs on inspiration. occurs when the muscles are relaxed, narrowing of the airways, a sound is made by the palate vibrating.
You might think snoring is normal and is ok in the short term it is frustrating and exhausting to you and your partner. Long term can lead to other health problems such as cholesterol, blood pressure, heart issues, for apnoeic events can lead to stroke or death.
