MARY is the founder and owner of Billings Speech Pathology Services, LLC a private practice established in 1994. She is the current president of the IAOM (2015-2017), serves on the Board of Directors for the Oral Motor Institute (OMI) and is an active member of the American Academy of Private Practitioners for Speech Pathology & Audiology (AAPPSPA) and the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) .
Mary served as the IAOM’s first Mentoring Chair, mentoring 100’s of therapists new to the field since 2007. In 2011 she served as Program Chair for the 40th Annual IAOM Convention and in 2013 took office as President Elect. In her varied roles through the IAOM Mary has been an invited speaker the American Academy of Private Practitioners in Speech Pathology & Audiology (AAPSPA), the American Academy of Physiological Medicine & Dentistry (AAPMD), the Nebraska Dental Hygiene Association meeting, and countless other dental study groups. She is an adjunct professor at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri providing critical student learning opportunities in her clinic.
Mary and her associate, Dianah Davidson became approved IAOM Introductory course instructors in 2012 and have provided instruction and mentoring for countless course attendees over the ensuing years.
Mary’s private practice has serviced thousands of individuals with Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders over the years, with a strong background in early feeding disorders, apraxia of speech, articulation, and craniofacial disorders, providing a knowledgeable, strong, and supportive environment for the clients who seek services.
