Orofacial myology is the study or orofacial myofunctional disorders. (OMD) Therapy to correct this disorder is called orofacial myofunctional therapy. It is myofunctional therapy, but it is preformed by orofacial myologists who have been certified by the International Association of Orofacial Myology.

Certified orofacial mycologists and those with extensive training in orofacial myofunctional therapy techniques, perform myofunctional therapy. This therapy is a specialized remedial program specifically designed for the correction of tongue thrust problems regardless the severity.

I use exercise techniques to synchronize the muscles associated with swallowing and posturing of the tongue, lips, and jaw.
