Kimberly Marran, DDS
Pure Smiles South Bay
Dr. Kimi was born and raised in Southern California. She grew up with an interest in teeth. As a child she brushed her teeth way longer than 2 minutes (perhaps the only child ever) and thouroughly enjoyed helping her little sister with her loose teeth. Her love of teeth lead her to UCLA where she studied Biochemistry and then to NYU where she received her Doctorate for Dental Surgery. Dr. Kimi loved living in New York but felt Southern California pulling her home. She has been treating children in Southern California for almost ten years.
Dr. Kimi and her husband Mike love living in the South Bay and knew this is where they wanted to raise their kids. When Dr. Kimi became pregnant with their first child she began to think not only of her patient’s teeth, but about the overall effect the dental materials used in a child’s mouth could have on their health. Also, how the health of a child’s mouth could effect their entire body. She became a research junkie trying to find the best way to promote oral health and hence overall health naturally. She knew she did not want to put any harsh chemicals in her baby’s mouth. Dr. Kimi’s motto is “To ALWAYS treat her patients the way she would treat her own children.” This changed the way she practiced and lead her to discover many amazing biologic techniques to treat her patients and family. Dr. Kimi can not wait to bring her knowledge and techniques to where she lives, the South Bay. If Dr. Kimi is not at the office you might bump into her at a sport’s field with her son Wesley, at ballet with her daughter Siena, or at the beach with the whole family.
