Kathleen (Kathy) Hughes, RDH
Kathleen Hughes is a Myofunctional Therapist, serving the South Puget Sound area.
Kathleen has worked as a Registered Dental Hygienist for over 33 years. She has worked in a variety of general dental practices, as well as pediatric and periodontal specialty practices. Professionally, Kathleen continues to work as both a Registered Dental Hygienist and an Myofunctional Therapist.
As a Registered Dental Hygienist, Kathleen saw the negative effects orafacial myofunctional disorders had in the oral cavity. Kathleen’s desire to improve the lives of others, led her to become a Myofunctional Therapist. She is a graduate of the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, in California.
At About Face Myology, Kathleen specializes in tongue thrust therapy and helping to break the destructive habits of thumb and finger sucking. Kathleen consults with orthodontists and other healthcare professionals, to provide a cooperative team approach for successful patient therapy.
