Joan has been a practicing speech-language pathologist for thirty years. She holds a Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders from California State University, San Francisco. In the early 1980′s, she was very active in the initial establishment of adult videofluoroscopic swallowing studies in East Bay hospitals.

Joan established her private practice sixteen years ago, where she treats adults and children for speech, language, and orofacial myology. She has pursued studies in orofacial myology at numerous continuing education seminars. She brings a wide range of experience to the field
