At The Spot Orofacial Myology and Speech-Language-Feeding Therapy
I’ve been a speech-language-feeding pathologist for 25 years and an orofacial myofunctional therapist for 20 years. I was lucky enough to have been trained by one of the founding members of the IAOM, Galen Peachey; and lucky again to be in a refresher course with Becky Ellsworth and Sandra Holtzman. I recently opened an office in Pleasant Valley, New York and hope to be collaborating with many other professionals. I truly enjoy helping patients get into a good oral rest posture and achieve mature swallow patterns —sometimes I think I’m more excited than they are when they can trap swallow! I also treat bilingual Spanish, Haitian-Creole and French speaking patients, typically in the Early Intervention program in New York State. Most of my EI practice consists of NICU graduates, my youngest client was born at 23 weeks, getting babies from tube feeds to oral feeds and helping parents with picky eaters.
