Heidii’s passion is working with children—and their families—who are experiencing communication difficulties due to apraxia of speech, oral motor planning disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, language disorders, sensory integration difficulties or a combination of any of these. Heidii is sought after in this area for her skills in helping create successful language advancements—improvements that positively impact every relational facet of a child’s life. Heidii sees children and youth ages 1 to 18 years.

Passionate about her expertise
Heidii specializes in oral motor and speech disorders as well as sensory processing disorders. Her treatments include tongue thrust therapy and hippotherapy, in addition to traditional speech and language therapy. Her background includes 20+ years’ experience working with children in both clinical and educational settings. She has a master’s degree in speech and hearing science from Portland State University and has a certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). A lifelong student of her profession, Heidii is currently working on her certification in orofacial myology. She is a member of ASHA, the Oregon Speech and Hearing Association, the International Association of Orofacial Myology and the American Hippotherapy Association.
