Andrea Judge Weinberg

Andrea is an award-winning speech-language pathologist who has spent the past 20 years working with children and adults in schools, hospitals and private practice. She was honored with the The Patti Elson-Becknell Memorial DIS Award (April 2010) by the North County Consortium for Special Education (NCCSE) Community Advisory Committee for exemplifying “dedication, a collaborative team spirit, a nurturing manner and a positive, kind, optimistic and loving attitude”.

Since receiving her Master of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Arizona, Andrea has continually pursued education in evidence-based assessment and treatment. Recently (December, 2012), she completed an internship in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT), with the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (AOMT), at UCLA. Speech-sound /phonological disorders (“Complexity Theory”) is another current area of study.

Perhaps most importantly of all, Andrea is committed to helping children and adults achieve life-long communication skills via collaboration with related fields and professionals. She is an active wellness/whole-foods/plant-based blogger and encourages holistic well-being and mind-body integration as the ultimate foundation for improved communication.
