Myofunctional Therapy by Marci
Marci Gill has worked in the Phoenix area for over 25 years as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She has extensive training with children, teens, adults and seniors in the dental setting and in the exercise discipline of Tai Chi and Chi Gong. Her training helps to achieve health and well being of the entire body.
She received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Northern Arizona University in Public Health. Her degree experience has included assistant teaching at the Phoenix College of Dental Hygiene and within the public health arena in Phoenix. Along with being actively involved in oral therapy and volunteering within her dental hygiene community, she delivers Myofunctional Therapy across the valley.
She graduated from the Academy of Orofacial Myofuntional Therapy out of California (AOMT.com) where she is a participating member of the Academy and their study club. Their extensive multidisciplinary training involves working with Oral Surgeons, Orthodontists, Sleep Apnea Physicians and ENT’s. By incorporating these varied disciplines we achieve not only improved form but improved function. This approach often leads to complete resolution of the many dysfunctions of the oral head and neck area.
The focus of her therapy includes exercises to improve breathing, proper swallowing, posture and diet. Her passion and reason for pursuing the Myofunctional Therapy field is because the multidisciplinary approach leads to overall improvement in one’s oral and complete body health. She encourages you to call to discuss your situation or come in for a free evaluation.
